Adure was stuck to a chair over in the corner. Captain Jamar was examining a few folders. Adure was on the other side of the room, but with his enhanced hearing he caught a few words:

"...Not working...Smidgen...resistors...ray"

[I do have to wonder why Jamar didn't bother to try to interrogate Adure in this part. I'm guessing he was questioned 'off-screen' or so prior to the post's timeline or something. >.>]

On the word 'resistors', he snapped to attention. He focused his sight on the pictures in front of the captain. He saw the faces of the ray-resistors. A girl with pink hair...a demon with a face on his belly...The chosen four...a reported homicidal maniac that Adures memory identified as 'Happy Bob'... he looked them over again, but none of them was his love, Rosaline. Rosie... He thought mournfully, but at least there were SOME people on the surface...

[I'm puzzled to just exactly how in the nine hells Adure would know who Bob even was. The chosen four is understandable. Also I find it odd he doesn't describe people like GMOE, Kyle, Glenn, Brett or Zac. :P I'm gonna assume he was trying to keep the post short by not describing everyone. <.<]

Meanwhile, Squad E was continuing their distractionary mission, witout realizing that their Captain was now held hostage.

[At least Adure's team doesn't give up, can give them that much. Let's just hope they don't turn out to be red-shirts... :P]

They charged into the research lab and began firing upon the gards. A stray bolt struck the lock on the containment cell for new weapons. The energy bars flickered and died. The head scientist began trembling.

[Why would a scientist need containment cells for 'weapons' in the first place? o.O They're not gonna get up and shoot people on their lonesome...]

"You fools! We haven't installed the control device yet!" All eyes were on the cell as Crypha emegered. She looked like a blue woman of the mists.

[A water elemental? O.o You people deem a WATER ELEMENTAL as a 'weapon'? Weapons are supposed to be things like swords, staffs, guns, spears, not living things. >.>]

She stood there, smiling upon them for a few moments. Then she struck. Like lightning blue beams burst from her fingertips and struck the scientists. They became rigid as all of thei bodyheat was sucked from them. They fell to the gound and shattered.

[OSH- That had to HURT. Maybe 'Water Elemental' is a misnomer. :(]

Adure's took cover and fired, but she absorbed the heat from the blazer bolts. She unleashed her freeze beams once more, and all of squad E shattered. Crypha smiled on the carngage, the stalked out the door.

[Aw man, his team really were only a bunch of red-shirts. :P]

[Crypha is an outofcontrol bioweapon. She can absorb heat from anything, and can pass through aything that is not airtight. She CAN be defeated. If you cant figure it out, here are two hints(One for each way to kill her)

[Spoiler: you need an intense amount of suction based pressure to 'tear her apart', which is the means of how she's supposed to be 'destroyed'. And also, she is kind of a Water/Ice Elemental type weapon, in that she can freeze things solid by taking their body heat, yet be thin enough to move through non airtight places. >.>]
