Nole's quivering hand soon met with a minibar door. It soon opened
after applying a great amount of force. He quickly reached for the nearest
beverage, which happened to be a bottle of jynnan tonnyx.
[Oh geez, more jynnyan tonnyx references. Will wonders ever cease? :P]
He popped the bottle
top off and poured it into a glass. The nervous shaking caused most of it to end
up in his lap, but he didn't seem to notice at the moment.
"What... is
this... tremendous feeling? Overcoming... rational... thought!"
["...drama... overloading... stupidity... increasing!" >.>]
He
decided he'd sit down for a while and try to sort things out.
[You do that, buddy, you go do that... :P]
Meanwhile,
Bob was having quite a time on his motorcycle, following Zac and his party.
Without warning, something hard zipped into his face. Something small and hard.
[Probably just a fly or some stupid insect. >.>]
He thought it to most likely be an insect. And this wasn't far from the truth.
Rather, it was a small metal bug used for one thing only: discovering the truth
about enemies from their past. A memory scanner.
[Ah, so now it's Bob's turn to get his mind probed. :P]
Nole suddenly jolted up
from where he sat. What remained of his jynnan tonnyx ended up all over his
pants.
[Geez man, take it friggin easy, you tool. >.>]
"What? Another memory is being scanned already? Hmm... the
information screen says the guy's name is Bob Reginald... Well, let's see what
his memory says..."
The memory screen lit up shortly, and began to
display many garbled colors distorted around images of small objects. It was
then quickly replaced by the image of a knife, then a red flash, then blood
streaming down the walls of a small room. Then, a small, dark enclosure was
seen.
[DUN DUN DUNN. o.o]
It was a seedy, cockroach ridden room. The young Bob got up and
looked in a pile of broken alcohol bottles, attempting to see his face. He
swiped a cockroach off of his suit and looked again.
[Ew... x.x]
At this point, it was hard
to read his lips, but it appeared he was babbling something about cheese,
killing, dead parents (of course mentioning drunk dad and mom the butterfingers)
and getting out and seeing the world.
[Some of these memories aren't 100% trustworthy, as we'll find out later... but... <.<]
With that, Bob opened the door of
the seedy room and walked down the hallway. Outside of the door were several
knife marks and small insects. A few puke stains were evident, most likely from
a drunken father. Bob simply walked away after copying down the number of
notches scraped into the door.
[The hell? Are the notches like a count of Bob's different 'marks' over the last years? :P]
From that point on, Bob travelled the
world. He took up residence in many places during the Giygas War. At one point,
a strange, evil statue managed to give him enough stability to seize control of
Fourside from Geldegarde Monotoli for a short period of time. He also took note
of his tremendous way of getting hastily from place to place by simply
drifting.
[Yeah, I guess there's another IF ZXD was part of that, some of Bob's history during this era goes MUCH MUCH better into. Although I question the order of these events above and some of those below. Then again, maybe the memory scanner is borked or just overwhelmed by the scatterbraininess of Bob in particular. :P]
Then came some images of another seedy place. On a couch sat a
pale white girl dressed in all black. He drew closer to her, and it seemed they
began talking. This event occured several more times. She made one last
appearance.
[Well that doesn't sound too good. :o]
This time, however, had a less attractive end. Her expression
turned to one of great horror. Bob turned around, and several armed men in suits
were in the doorway. Thinking quickly, he leapt over the couch. Brains and blood
suddenly splattered the wall in front of him. She had been shot in the
head.
[Damn guvment officials and their lousy shots! >_>]
Out the window he fled, taking a bullet in the back. He landed in a
dumpster a story below. A trail of blood haunted him until finally he took off
his suit and tied it around his shoulder. And that was the end of his
suit.
[Because we all know it was the death of his suit that was the biggest factor in his bad day. :P]
Later, many terrible, graphic images played themselves out before
Nole's eyes. Several times he felt as though he might vomit profusely. Other
times he was simply puzzled by Bob's obcessions, such as shiny objects and a
transmitted moving picture show known as "The Dukes of Haazard." In which, two
men, presumably southerners, drove around at high speeds in an orange car with
an oddly marked flag drawn on it, occasionally chased by a fat man in a cowboy
hat in a car equipped with a siren and shining lights.
[lawl. A crazy TV show, for a fellow crazy-minded individual. :P]
Nole never did
understand such obcessions. Moving picture shows never did seem to be anything
that amazing back home.
[Yes, more references to the fact that yes, the Nomad's crew and a lot of areas in space do infact receive TV signals, mostly likely a fair amount directly from Earth.]
Much more insanity followed. It made Nole's head
ache with the pain of a thousand stabbings. He couldn't take it. The raw
insanity was astounding. Finally, just as he was about to turn it off, she
appeared. His attention quickly returned.
[Well, it could be actual, important information to his mission, after all. Which mission it is, be it to eliminate the ACs, or get into Sandra's skirt, who really knows. :P]
He didn't understand it. Why
would he feel so strange all of a sudden? It was as though he were falling into
a state of loving towards her person. But how? She was the enemy, and he knew
it!
[IF were full of drama, but romantic stuff was generally skirted around due to certain incidents that occured long back during the Tenguian days of the practice. <.<]
The memories ended with Bob's hand swiftly moving upwards at his
head. After that, a simple 16 color test pattern appeared on the screen. Nole
rolled Bob's memories around inside his head.
[Which has to be painful as Hell considering Bob's memories are all derped out like that. >.>]
"This is quite
interesting... the boy is clearly unstable. He shows interest in the one they
call Sandra. And surely I've noticed the acts of strength he is capable of when
he appears to be under extreme mental displeasure... This could serve as a
problem..."
[Problem, or possible blessing in disquise? o.O]
Back on Earth, Bob was wiping his hand on his
pants.
"Yuck, I got black, slippery bug guts all over my
hand!"
["also why is there also coolant and oil in my hand?" XP]
And somewhere far away, DWGM was approaching a huge mountain. Atop
it were many oddly dressed people and a palace. Apparently, this was Dalaam,
home of the next sanctuary.
[And the tool moves forth to claim with another prize for his belt of mediocrity. :P]
Yet another part of the world revealed a
severely injured digimon, climbing out of a hole in the pavement, wings bloody
and mutilated. Along with him came Ness, Johnny, Dave and the Banana Kid. They
couldn't help but notice that DWGM had become far more powerful.
[No crap. XD]
And in
yet another place was Sandra, Paula, Jeff, Poo, Mr. Everdred and Nebiroth. They
were in the cold, cold country of Winters, on a visit to Jeff's father, Dr.
Andonuts. Outside they had discovered the USA, but had failed to notice the
half-filled pawprints leading to the cave of the Rainy Circle.
[DWGM is long long gone at this point, and even Sandra's range with magic-aura detection is only so great. What could the group have possibly done even if they had figured out he had been here? Probably near diddly-squat at the time. :o]
And in
Onett was a pickpocket, running around the Onett Hotel. He had yet to steal
everything, so he hadn't went outside. Thusly, he had no idea the whole planet
was frozen in time.
[Yet another reference to Jake from all the way at the beginning, still eternally wandering the Onett hotel, and ironically probably the one character safest and unknown of from the entire fiasco. I assume he did eventually get out, but since we knew jack-crap about him, none of us could really find a good means to auto-pilot him as one of our own ACs. >.>]
Then there was space, in all it's vastness. Just
outside the Earth's gravitational pull was the massive starship, the Nomad.
Aboard was Captain Jamar, scientist Eric and mutinous scientist Nole, who was
currently in a state of emotional distress. Also aboard were a few prisoners,
them being Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Polestar and a courageous man named Adure, who
had been betrayed by a turkey baster and trapped in a jynnan tonnyx bottle.
Positioned nearby was a fleet of starships, led by a man named Boris.
[Nice galatic summary of events there Mr. Narrator. :P]
The
whole situation was complicated beyond belief. And yet here it was, stretching
out even into the reaches of space. The fate of an entire planet was at stake.
Only time would tell who would win the struggle. Only time would
tell...
[Also, only time will tell if I ever manage to finish these long-ass annotations. lol :P]
